History
Our story - From MMD® to Teamscaper
BACKGROUND
In 2001, Management Molecule Dynamics (MMD®) was developed to meet the need for a more proactive and flexible organisational structure. At the time, hierarchical models limited the development and adaptability of many organisations, requiring a new way of working.
MMD® introduced a dynamic, team-based approach that focused on visualising complex structures and optimising collaboration, rather than relying on legal or hierarchical frameworks. The model helped organisations to better adapt to change and to create a culture of teamwork and flexibility.
A central component of MMD® is the well-known 4P® model:
– Purpose – A clear purpose that guides each team.
– Procedures – Defined ways of working and processes.
– Performance Indicators – Metrics to monitor results.
– Principles – Common values and guidelines.
This structure created a common understanding and direction for the teams, making it easier to work towards common goals.
Digitalisation of MMD®
In its original form, MMD® relied on analogue tools to visualise organisational workflows and structures.
These tools worked well to introduce and establish the concept, but limitations in usability and flexibility made it difficult to scale up and keep the approach alive in larger organisations.
It soon became clear that a digital solution was needed – a tool that could make MMD® more dynamic and accessible to everyone in an organisation.
Several attempts to digitise the way of working were made, but previous solutions did not live up to the high demands placed on user-friendliness, adaptability and sustainability over time.

After years of development and learning, we have finally reached our goal: a digital tool that fully realises the MMD® principles.
Teamscaper is the result of the journey that started with The Molecule MMD®, but now in a modern, digital form that combines simplicity with powerful features.
